Where to stay in Bangkok

As a commercial, cultural, and tourist center, Bangkok offers a great diversity of accommodations. For long established and chain hotels, try Sukhumvit Road and the areas surrounding the central Siam Square, where budget and luxury rooms are available in abundance. If you are looking for the backpacker zone, head to Khaosan Road, where you'll find a wealth of inexpensive, simple accommodations surrounded by businesses tailored to traveler's needs. Consider staying at a guesthouse to gain a deeper understanding of Thai life.

  • I got married in a tuxedo made by Tom's and am very happy with the service I received. It was the first time I had anything custom made and knew nothing about tuxedos, but the staff were super friendly and helpful and offered advice when needed. Even the standard attempt to upsell was polite and not insisted upon after I declined. The total price for the full tux, a blazer, and 6 shirts was less than what I would have paid for a 2 piece suit in Europe. They all fit great and are of solid quality. It took me a while to pick a tailor in Bangkok but am very happy with the choice I made and would strongly recommend Tom's Fashion to anyone.
  • I would give them negative stars if I could. The suit quality to extremely poor and the "made to measure" is complete bs. They not only got the color of the liner wrong but the fitting was terrible. They keep blaming me for the color choice of liner but the Mr.Singh was the one taking all the color codes down so it wasn't me. And out of 5 people that have used them. 3 were completely wrong. Don't get ripped off like I did!
  • Tom's Fashion was personally recommended to me by my younger brother and his friends who had each bought several suits six months prior to me visiting them. I was quite eager to get my own suit since my brother had wore one of the suits he had gotten from Tom's Fashion to my reception and had complemented him on how phenomenal it looked. Originally I had scheduled an appointment to get fitted but due to some flights delays I had to reschedule to which everyone at Tom's Fashion was happily able to accommodate a walk-in appointment. When I arrived they were well prepared to answer any questions I had and were able to give me recommendations of what kind of colors and styles they can match to some photos of suits I had found on Pinterest. They were even quite diligent in making sure that all of my measurements were correct since I have an awkward body with one long slightly longer than the other. After all the measurements were taken care of, they went down through every little detail of what the suit should have and gave recommendations on the kind of style or pattern I should have to go with it, allowing me to personally customized everything about the suit. The employees were also very gracious in accommodating my time-frame of when I was going to be in Bangkok and was able to have the suit tailored with a very short-turn around time frame. To anyone visiting and thinking of buying a tailored suit, I cannot stress enough how great and professional everyone was at Tom's Fashion. Their quality and craftsmanship was superb.
  • After some online research I chose Tom's to get 3 tailored suits on my way back from a holiday. The price looked competitive while credible and the existing reviews were good. Micky and Peter were professional, friendly and helpful every step of the way, offering refreshments and providing advice. They were flexible on the timing but not afraid to turn customers down when their timeline was not realistic - a very good sign! The resulting suits and shirts fit like a dream. No more tight chests, overly long sleeves or tight collars! The quality looks solid but in truth only time will tell. For me Tom's Fashion lost the perfect 5-star rating due to two minor issues: my shirts were about 40min late on the pickup day (I got several drinks to compensate) and Mickey had forgotten to note down that I wanted 'kissing' sleeve buttons. If you do not know what that means don't panic because it's so minor it doesnt really matter. Overall the suits look amazing and the experience was highly positive. Certainly worth a visit and I'll order from them again!
