The Racquet Club Reviews
TRC is a great place if you want a big training facility including swimming pool. The equipment in the gym might look a bit old. But everything is clean and working just fine. So for people more conce... more »
We were thinking about joining the Raquet Club as we live very close. So my 3 teenage children wanted to do a free trial. They signed up on the website which unfortunately does not say that processing... more »
Racquet Club is big. Straight up. It is also old. Big and old. This was my lasting impression. And over time, big and old have given rise to "impressive". White guys are here. Expats, not tourists. Ma... more »
I have been going there every week for around 5 years now. The staff are really friendly and the facility is also great. The location is also really good for me as it is easily accessible. The price is high but nothing that I can't afford. I can highly recommend
Nice and friendly staff.. Good amenities.
I've been a member of the climbing club since March and I highly recommend it. BUT... the overseeing company, the Racquet Club, is unfortunately nothing to write home about. You'd think that high prices would come with high quality of services, professionalism and flexibility but it isn't the case. Where to start? For months, the club has been undergoing repairs, with daily inconveniences in terms of noise, dust and limited services. Today there was no water in the showers. For weeks their WiFi has been down or almost impossible to connect to. The showers have a wisp of sewers and the pockets with electronic locks give issues to members on a daily basis. More costly, they're very keen on having you sign up long term but refuse to freeze your subscription when you're away for unforeseen events. Essentially it's pricey, with average quality and no flexibility. Their objective is getting your cash but once this part is done, don't expect good service. I wish it was possible to sign up only for the excellent Urban Playground climbing club without having to deal with the nonsense of Racquet Club but sadly it isn't possible.
Authentic Taiwan Shabu Shabu. A little bit pricy tho. But, It’s the best you could possibly find in Bangkok.
Very large, messy facilities with anything you need for fitness. Expensive for the quality, cleaniness and after service. People working there are nice like everywhere in Thailand but there is huge gap in understanding what is expected from a fitness centre. Renovation was ongoing for some time but there was no updating to customers at any point. Lockers are just filthy. Tennis facilities are just ok, booking is a pain, weigths facilities are good but the place really needs a deep clean. A half decent duty manager can have spot easily hundrends of gabling lying around, dirty corners and walls, panels that dont work and simply follow with the maintanance team to fix them. TV's in threadmill area have disconnected sound for some time. AC is too strong and have seen bugs. First world problems? Perhaps but when it comes with a european level fee, I expect more. Anyhow the above certainly dont stop you from having a good workout.
