  • Tha Maharaj or pier 2. Pier 2 here isn't equal to N2 if you are going to take Chao phaya boat towards wat arun or sathorn pier. Tha Maharaj is a nice place to take a rest for a drink or food after a v...  read more »

  • Small open air plaza by the river. The place fill up with many modern restaurant. Good place for hang out in the evening. Nearby area is an old local market which is interesting to explore.
  • Good place for shopping. Restaurant rather expensive for a thaï one but you can eat good thaï meal close of the river ! Quite for lunch.
  • After years of turning its back to the river, Bangkok is now busily exploiting it with a vengeance. Presently along the river, the balance is good between the neglected but authentic and the recently constructed but artificial. This food mall on the river preserves the balance and is a good place to eat when exploring the historic sights of Rattanakosin, the innermost circle of Bangkok. I have had several good pizzas at Peppina's, followed by a stroll through the upper floor's common area overlooking the enterprise on the river. There is also the extremely popular After You dessert cafe, where slim Asians are gleefully playing catchup with more robust Westerners by demolishing piles of Shibuya toast. Express boat to/from Saphan Taksin (BTS) stops here.
  • Was much smaller than expected, and went a tad late so on a Tuesday so it was quite. Like a tiny Asiatique. Would have liked to go during a sunny afternoon, so may return in future.
  • I love this place in the evening (the weather is not too hot) There are many restaurants to hang out with friends while watching the view of Chao-Phraya River :)
