Where to stay in Bangkok

As a commercial, cultural, and tourist center, Bangkok offers a great diversity of accommodations. For long established and chain hotels, try Sukhumvit Road and the areas surrounding the central Siam Square, where budget and luxury rooms are available in abundance. If you are looking for the backpacker zone, head to Khaosan Road, where you'll find a wealth of inexpensive, simple accommodations surrounded by businesses tailored to traveler's needs. Consider staying at a guesthouse to gain a deeper understanding of Thai life.

  • One of the Good shopping malls in Silom area.. Easily accessible like siam paragon.. Like other shopping malls many shops have discounts and some days they organized events like food festivals.. If you are lucky you can test many different food at one place.. They also have a good food court at the basement..
  • Small, worth a look if you're in the area and want good aircon, free bathrooms, an assortment of ATMs, or the whole basement is sit-down food. They even have an Auntie Anne's and custom shops like custom paintings and ukuleles. Nothing special but a nice break if you're walking by. Try going to Lumpini park next to spot one of the many giant lizards that casually wander around.
  • Have seen better malls in Silom. Enough food options.. no European or American..
  • There are several brands of restaurant with Central Department Store in the building. People easily commute by BTS and leave at Saladeang station, then walk through connected way to this building.
  • There are many good restaurants on the B fl. Great for lunch and dinner. Also supermarket, clothes, cosmetics, stationary and accessories store quite qualities.
