Where to stay in Bangkok

As a commercial, cultural, and tourist center, Bangkok offers a great diversity of accommodations. For long established and chain hotels, try Sukhumvit Road and the areas surrounding the central Siam Square, where budget and luxury rooms are available in abundance. If you are looking for the backpacker zone, head to Khaosan Road, where you'll find a wealth of inexpensive, simple accommodations surrounded by businesses tailored to traveler's needs. Consider staying at a guesthouse to gain a deeper understanding of Thai life.

  • This is an interesting place to visit in the early evening when the lights come on. It's also a great vantage point to get some shots of the Rama 8 bridge.
  • I usually jog from my apartment to this temple and at 6pm they always have a free aerobic dance in this park every day. You will see a lot of Thais dancing like an expert, so don't underestimate this free class😏. Plus it has a really great view for exercise.
  • Beautiful fort at the riverside in a small park. Unfortunately you can't go in to the fort for some reason. There are some information panels on the history of the fort.
  • Fortress is quite beautiful and sits beside a lovely park along the Chao Phraya river. Great views of Rama VIII Bridge and also good for a shaded lunch or to people watch
  • Nice beautiful quiet place. A good place to relax and enjoy the nature by the river. The place is so calm even thou it is beside a road
