  • Phra Siratana Chedi, better known under the name of Grand Chedi is located in the grounds of Wat Phra Kaew, close to the entrance of the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. It would contain the ashes of the Buddha in the Grand Chedi. For Buddhists travelling to Wat Phra Kaew, this chedi has a particular importance. Moreover, you can not miss it! It is recognizable to its great height, his brilliant gold color and shape perfect pointing to the sky... The large Chedi, built in the 19th century, in the Sri Lankan style, is located in the immediate vicinity of the Phra Mondop (sacred library), a short walk from the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. A wonder which is endless...
