  • A lot less customers than in previous years. Prices now very high with appreciation oh the Baht. Good ok but pricy. Miserable service.  more »
  • Super market that offers a lot of beautiful products, there are colours everywhere. We also ate there several times, and we we are every time feasted for not expensive at all.

  • If you're looking for a variety of food to choose from, and don't mind paying a bit more for your meal then this is a great place to eat. The market area offers a cleaner shopping experience than most open markets in Bangkok....BUT, at a price. This market can be anywhere from a bit more, to ridiculously more expensive than other markets in the city. I personally just come to eat in the food court, and rarely buy anything in the market. In my experience, price is rarely a good indicator of quality (flavor) of the goods. In BKK, product price is just a result of the cost of rent the seller pays to sell at any given location. If a seller wants to operate in this market they must pay higher rent, and consequently charge more for their goods. I think this is a great place for tourists to try out a Thai market, or for wealthy Thais to shop. It is by no means a "real local" type of market, or a place to find bargains.
  • I went here when the durian was not on the season, so the price was insanely high. But it's worth for every nice tasty and heavenly slice. I also bought some other fruits for my friends in Indonesia like guava, mango, etc. You can find traditional herbs of Thailand, dried fruits and other local foods. If you travelling to Thailand and intend to bring something for your friend or family, I suggest you to buy tom yum paste here instead of souvenirs that might be unused. You can buy tom yum paste here start from 10baht only and it's so delicious. Anyway i like this market because it's clean and you can bargain the price with the seller.
  • Nice breakfast especially Pad Thai, Somtam, Thai milk tea, fish sausage and fresh mango. We bought some good smell lemongrass products in reasonable price. Bought fresh mangoes, taste not bad and really fresh. Feel good and clean market.
  • Cleanest fresh market I have ever been too! The food was very very very good and cheap!! Food choices at the food court were from the various regions of Thailand.
  • Food court has some good food but the staff of the duck noodle store doesn't seem to treat tourists very well. The fruits are not that cheap. Seems to be cheaper at Chatujak market.

Where to stay in Bangkok

As a commercial, cultural, and tourist center, Bangkok offers a great diversity of accommodations. For long established and chain hotels, try Sukhumvit Road and the areas surrounding the central Siam Square, where budget and luxury rooms are available in abundance. If you are looking for the backpacker zone, head to Khaosan Road, where you'll find a wealth of inexpensive, simple accommodations surrounded by businesses tailored to traveler's needs. Consider staying at a guesthouse to gain a deeper understanding of Thai life.
