  • If you're looking for a variety of food to choose from, and don't mind paying a bit more for your meal then this is a great place to eat. The market area offers a cleaner shopping experience than most open markets in Bangkok....BUT, at a price. This market can be anywhere from a bit more, to ridiculously more expensive than other markets in the city. I personally just come to eat in the food court, and rarely buy anything in the market. In my experience, price is rarely a good indicator of quality (flavor) of the goods. In BKK, product price is just a result of the cost of rent the seller pays to sell at any given location. If a seller wants to operate in this market they must pay higher rent, and consequently charge more for their goods. I think this is a great place for tourists to try out a Thai market, or for wealthy Thais to shop. It is by no means a "real local" type of market, or a place to find bargains.
  • I went here when the durian was not on the season, so the price was insanely high. But it's worth for every nice tasty and heavenly slice. I also bought some other fruits for my friends in Indonesia like guava, mango, etc. You can find traditional herbs of Thailand, dried fruits and other local foods. If you travelling to Thailand and intend to bring something for your friend or family, I suggest you to buy tom yum paste here instead of souvenirs that might be unused. You can buy tom yum paste here start from 10baht only and it's so delicious. Anyway i like this market because it's clean and you can bargain the price with the seller.
  • Traveler who want to try local fruit of thailand you can visit this market. It is easy to find this market! This market is so clean and sell various fruits and foods. You need to bargain the price to buy the fruits, and it is somehow not cheap in my opinion.
  • Once you speak local lingo the prices might be dropped for you. Tourists and Bangkok hi-SO are driving them skyrocketting way up over the average levels. But many products really come from local farmers even though middle men are involved and quality and freshness is A grade. Do not drive by car here on Sat-Sun. It is impossible to park it over the weekends here.
  • Clean and pleasant to visit. Many fruits..fresh seafood..cooked food etc. Open 6 days a week even though it is close to Chatuchak market.
