Nice place in Thai-style retro design. A lot of Thai traditional desserts selling here, a kind that rare and nowadays mostly found in floating market. Also, there are many major food franchises, gold shop, big electric shop and repair service, etc.
Very different from all the modern malls everywhere in Bangkok, which really makes it unique. Lots of items you won't see at the other malls. In waking distance are great places to visit like Chinatown, the India Emporium and the garment market.
Textiles (Thai silk and lace), clothes, jewelry (costume and very fine), good quality and price jewelry repair station, food, Daiso, electronics, small Royal Project shop.
In the foodcourt on third floor there is caraoke every day where old locals perform.Good selection of food and drinks.
I believe it used to be THE shopping center to go to, long before even Siam Center and that whole Sukhumvit area developed. There didn't seem to be all that many shops of interest (to me), aside from the big Rani Fabric Store. The mall has been renovated in recent years and is quite bright and clean, while still keeping the old world charm of the building structure. Nice OTOP food market place was there when I went. Parking available. Useful also as a place to start/end a trip to explore Pahurat and Sampeng Lane nearby.
