Where to stay in Bangkok

As a commercial, cultural, and tourist center, Bangkok offers a great diversity of accommodations. For long established and chain hotels, try Sukhumvit Road and the areas surrounding the central Siam Square, where budget and luxury rooms are available in abundance. If you are looking for the backpacker zone, head to Khaosan Road, where you'll find a wealth of inexpensive, simple accommodations surrounded by businesses tailored to traveler's needs. Consider staying at a guesthouse to gain a deeper understanding of Thai life.

  • Very great heritage place in town. Fantastic classic old house and garden.
  • Nice experience, less famous than Jim Thompson but good place to spend 1h in Thai ambient.
  • Beautiful gardens and buildings. I've been here twice. Both times for a wedding! Great spot in hectic Bangkok for an open air, traditional feel wedding. Huge space in the back made hosting a lunch on a lawn possible. Haven't visited as a tourist yet but hope to.
  • A very attractive traditional Thai house; charming garden; and historic as the home of a Prime Minister of Thailand.
  • traditional thai style house in a middle of bangkok city! you can look around and have a walk for 5-10mins and that's about it
