Lumpini Park, Bangkok

4.3
#1 of 1,122 in Parks in Thailand
Take a break from the concrete and glass hubbub of contemporary Bangkok at Lumpini Park, an open public space offering much-welcomed urban relief for residents and tourists. Trees, grass, and views unimpeded by nearby buildings are something of a rarity in the city center, contributing to this green space's immense popularity. Take a boat out onto the man-made lake or enjoy a bike ride along its many cycling and walking paths. With a library, playgrounds, and over 30 species of birds making their home here, the park has plenty to offer visitors of all ages. • We enjoyed a morning stroll through Lumphini Park. Pretty views of the park with skyscrapers in the background. Lots of interesting locals and don't miss the giant Iguanas.  more »
  • I went there with my son two and a half years for the games. But the Park is in poor condition. Not bad joggueurs and bodybuilding however machines. Actually there are few parks in the city, but it is not of great interest if you go with your family. He y.a some tire swings and a slide but space Park is sad

  • The stalls in the Lumbini Park is recommended. Local and Thailand who are many, the time CHUM pots are delicious! I marinated raw shrimp called kuncenampler PLA? Is the ate, but it is also painful. Large raw shrimp with hot pepper eating so painful that it is recommended.

  • Its very nice place to visit... Lumphini park is well maintained...Park consists of the large area... Sometimes you will find huge 🦎 lizard in the park... People come here for jogging , cycling, exercise etc.. Park is accommodate with green lawns and trees... There is small lake in Lumphini park where people comes to rent the boats and have fun... So overall park is very amazing and attractive...I can't think of giving less than five rating for Lumphini park... Its really good...
  • Green place surrounded by skyscrapers and busy roads. It's nice place to visit but be prepared there is no places to buy water in the park only at the entrance. If you will be lucky you might meet big lizard or squirrel here. There are couple of workout areas, people are jogging and doing yoga around. Also you can hire a boat for a reasonable price,
  • We spent several hours relaxing by walking around the large well maintained park. City provides clean public bathrooms as well as inexpensive bottled water and some other drinks near at least one entrance. We also enjoyed renting a paddle boat for a half hour for only 40 bahts. Very relaxing and nice view of the skyline from the lake .
  • We always enjoy a stroll around this large park as some relief from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok and to observe the wildlife that makes the park their home. Roads and footpaths in the park are excellent and if you rent one of the boats for 30 minutes you get an excellent view of the buildings surrounding the park. Although there are a small number of stalls selling drinks the park would really benefit from a cafe for people to visit, however the park does have many seats for visitors to sit on. Well worth a visit! 👍😀
  • Lumphini Park is a great place to start your day with a whiff of fresh air and take in some greenery. The park is very well maintained. The views around the pond is awesome. People were practicing their Tai Chi, Yoga etc. There are monitor lizards, but they don't trouble humans. You can visit in the evening too if you want to wind down your hectic day with some calm.
