Klongs, Bangkok
(3.8/5 based on 1,100+ reviews on the web)
Take a tour of Bangkok's Klongs--the canals and waterways that crisscross the Thai capital--in a private long-tail boat. Admire the buildings which teeter on the edge of the banks, catch a glimpse of locals going about their daily lives, grab a cold beer or some refreshing fruit from a passing boat vendor, and spot the birds, fish, and other wildlife that thrive even in the heart of the city. In addition to being one of the best ways for sightseers to explore Bangkok, the klongs provide some of the quickest public transport here, avoiding the congestion that plagues the city's roads. Make Klongs a part of your Bangkok vacation plans using our Bangkok trip generator.

  • This is something you just have to experience when we are in Bangkok. See how the local table, discover the streets which have road signs etc.

  • The klongs give a different picture of Bangkok. Water takes much space and is also a transport way through certain parts of the city. The water is dirty and dirty. Grab lots of activities there.

  • Hi, we have made yesterday klongtour one. In the beginning, we were somewhat uncertain whether we should do this at all because many people advise against and we don't exactly know where we can go to the "racketenboote". We then went with the skytrain station Saphan Taksin station. Next to the station below you can book already his klong tour. We have booked the tour with the Chinatown stop. The tour itself is very funny because you boarded first across the river and then visited the actual klongs. There you can see the big differences between rich and poor. I found it important to have done the tour and see this anyway. Only to recommend! We have paid 1000 bhat for 2 persons.
