Explore the largest green space in the capital city at King Rama IX Park, a site built in 1987 for King Bhumibol's 60th birthday. This park boasts an international botanical garden and a large lake where you can take paddle boats onto the water. Also visit the gold-topped building housing photos, paintings, and information about the King. If you arrive early, join in the public morning aerobics or Tai-Chi classes. When you get hungry, head toward the entrances of the park, where small stands usually sell barbecued chicken, noodles, and fruit. A visit to King Rama IX Park represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Bangkok trip itinerary planner to plot your vacation.

  • Very nice park , large territory. Has everything for recreation and public heath! Nice cactus park inside, love to spend time and exercise there! However , not many taxi drivers knows it, so be prepared to explain exact directions for people.
