King Rama IX Park, Bangkok

4.6
#7 of 29 in Parks in Bangkok
Explore the largest green space in the capital city at King Rama IX Park, a site built in 1987 for King Bhumibol's 60th birthday. This park boasts an international botanical garden and a large lake where you can take paddle boats onto the water. Also visit the gold-topped building housing photos, paintings, and information about the King. If you arrive early, join in the public morning aerobics or Tai-Chi classes. When you get hungry, head toward the entrances of the park, where small stands usually sell barbecued chicken, noodles, and fruit.
