  • We took the time to read the signs, listen to the videos - good facts - and simply enjoy the beauty and wealth of places - of beautiful houses of teak in the North of the country - located in the middle of a garden. After a long time, we went to go to the shopping mall next door, Terminal 21. It is a very modern place, but interesting because each floor represents a different city. Do not miss the toilet not only clean, but who respect the concept. The food court on the top floor is fine.

  • Kamihieng House, the Kamihieng House is a small, green oasis in the bustle of the big city. Only 5 minutes walk from the Skytrain East, Asok station, directly behind the shopping Temple "Terminal 21". The complex consists of 5 old wood buildings in a garden. The everyday life of the Thai people decades ago can imagine. Kitchen, living - and sleeping area, Silk weaving... and some of the arts and crafts shows.

  • The Kamthieng House Museum is a museum in Bangkok, run by the Siam Society under royal patronage. It is a 160-year old traditional teakwood house from northern Thailand. It is amazing to visit this house in the shade of big buildings.
  • Great displays representing the traditional lifestyle of northern Thai people. From fishing and hunting tools to architecture and art and weaving practices. Amazing display of jewelry as well as ancient tattoo practices too. Don't miss out on the animated video downstairs showing the building method of Lanna architecture. Another great video is played upstairs in the kitchen on the traditional cooking methods of the Lanna people. If you're interested in traditional culture and practices then this place will not disappoint!
  • Ummm.. Not sure what they are trying to show here. There isn't much to see at all. It's too bad because it could be a cool cultural oasis in the mass bedlam that Bangkok is.
