Children's Discovery Museum, Bangkok

3.9
Get busy with the entertaining and educational activities at Children's Discovery Museum. The museum's hands-on approach to learning engages kids in multicolored, multi-story settings across eight different sections in three buildings. Exhibits include the human body, mechanics, and culture, but most little ones will rush to the bone-reassembling dinosaur detective area or the water play zone (swimwear required). The facilities provide showers and baby changing stations. Expect crowds over the weekend; plenty of eating options cluster nearby. With our international travel planner, Bangkok attractions like Children's Discovery Museum can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • We took friends and their 5 year old, and she loved it! Some of the activities are for 2-6yrs old and others 7-12. We went on a weekday as soon as it opened, was great to explore and not have to wait ...  more »
  • A place suitable for young children, like the Hong Kong Science Museum, is not so big, outside there is more than the children playing Okinawa Internet, Hong Kong has not seen, have a good time to play, there are also the discovery of dinosaur bone sand pool, can use the available tools, there is also a painting room, there are staff members in the side of the guide. This museum is best served free.

  • Read some comments before, said the staff do not love children, holding the mentality to try to play! The contents of the inside a lot of very rich, in advance to see the time to play the water schedule to just spray water open, On the day there was a school with children to play children see the water is very excited. Big tree link of the large slide fun some of the climbing closed, the staff have been accompanied by my children to watch them laugh so happy I melt. Dinosaur fossil Sands closed but the staff made an exception to let us play for a while. I don't think this staff is as bad as everyone says.

  • Very disappointing. Came here with child 9 year old and very little here to do. Lots of staff sitting around doing not much. Deserted "activities" that we were told we would have to come back to in half an hour's time. Meanwhile 1-2 kids take part while several staff watch on, or fiddle on phones. Lots of areas blocked off and out of order. Only things the staff did were tell us not to do things. It was like the Thai government spent millions on a facility and then employed a bunch of staff to make it the least fun it could possibly be. Would love to see new management take this over and turn it into the place it should be.
  • I can't stop my smile when i saw kids playing in water fountain's. They look So happy.family should visit here with their kids. Don't forget to bring extra dress!.
  • Children really enjoyed it, but my daughter got a terrible rash after playing at the water park for 30 minutes. The staff seemed used to this problem and were ready with a free bottle of lotion. My 2 boys didn't have any issues with it, so apparently they are adding some chemical in the water to which some people are hyper sensitive. Be wary of this if you are going to let your children play in the water.
  • It's free! The water fountain is my son's fevorite. Outdoor playground is huge and is not boring.
  • When moms are shopping in the market, kids and dads can have fun in this place. Free entry, great educational content. Excellent place.
