Chatuchak Flower Market, Bangkok

4.1
#4 of 76 in Museums in Bangkok
Visit one of Bangkok’s largest selection of florists at Chatuchak Flower Market, a street lined with fragrant stalls selling a huge variety of plants. Browse through bonsai trees, exotic species, and even artificial plants, or just take in the gorgeous flora and snap some photos. Refrain from touching the flowers unless you intend to purchase them, however, because locals usually buy them to offer at temples. • I'm writing for Chatuchak Wednesday/Thursday gardening market. Located along the main road of Chatuchak Weekend Market arked. This gardening market has A LOT to offer. From ferns and moss to the rare ornamental, banana, exquisite bromeliads/orchids/Hoyas. You name it! All at an attractive price. Most of the stalls focuses on the own niche domain which is good for the enthusiasts. Many of which really know what they are doing. You may show pictures of the plant you're looking for or ask the vendor by the scientific name. For the particular "gardening market" on Wednesday and Thursday, I didn't see any fresh flower stall except the one selling water lilies and lotuses. Overall, this is a MUST for those garden nerds!
  • My girlfriend loved it and I didn't hate it so I'd recommended if a flower market is what you want. Also its next to the Channel 7 boxing stadium where you can see free Thai boxing on Sundays around midday.
  • I was upset because I thought it would be an hudge place to see many kinds of flowers.. Near there is an interesting food market
  • Hundred flowers were just cut. I thought there were more plants and flower plants
  • Wow, just wow. Amazing collection of exotic plants and flowers.
