Chatuchak Flower Market, Bangkok

4.1
#8 of 45 in Museums in Bangkok
Specialty Museum Museum
Visit one of Bangkok’s largest selection of florists at Chatuchak Flower Market, a street lined with fragrant stalls selling a huge variety of plants. Browse through bonsai trees, exotic species, and even artificial plants, or just take in the gorgeous flora and snap some photos. Refrain from touching the flowers unless you intend to purchase them, however, because locals usually buy them to offer at temples. Arrange your visit to Chatuchak Flower Market and discover more family-friendly attractions in Bangkok using our Bangkok tour planner.

Where to stay in Bangkok

As a commercial, cultural, and tourist center, Bangkok offers a great diversity of accommodations. For long established and chain hotels, try Sukhumvit Road and the areas surrounding the central Siam Square, where budget and luxury rooms are available in abundance. If you are looking for the backpacker zone, head to Khaosan Road, where you'll find a wealth of inexpensive, simple accommodations surrounded by businesses tailored to traveler's needs. Consider staying at a guesthouse to gain a deeper understanding of Thai life.

  • My girlfriend loved it and I didn't hate it so I'd recommended if a flower market is what you want. Also its next to the Channel 7 boxing stadium where you can see free Thai boxing on Sundays around midday.
  • Wow, just wow. Amazing collection of exotic plants and flowers.
  • There are some nice flowers and plants but the whole area is not that big
  • There is another Plant/Flower market only open on WEDNESDAYS from 6am to 11am on the same venue as the Chatutak weekend market near Mochit BTS Station. You can ogle at beautiful flowers, orchids, trees (yes they sell giant trees), If you are a gardener this is a must visit in Bangkok. You can have a good look at how Thailand is in agriculture and horticulture. Just be aware that you need neccessary permits to bring plants in your country, and you can get exit permits from Suvarhnambumi airport (easy part). You can buy gardening accessories and pots here as well, even seeds. Amazing place, a feast for the senses. Come in the morning as the sun gets pretty hot after 9am.
  • good flower market. but a bit pricey
