    Sounded to be a good place to visit, however the museum is virtually non-existent now. It looks that the enlargement works of the new palace has swallowed it. The taxi driver went round and round and ...  more »

    Unfortunately when we went one of two buildings that House the Museum was closed, however the building open (which is only a Hall) had a small but interesting exhibition on elephants in particular whites, considered sacred by Thais and, for this reason, possessed only by the King. If you are already in the area of the Vimanmek Teak Mansion, I also recommend a visit to this small Museum (half an hour is more than enough), since it is located in the immediate vicinity.
