Benjakitti Park, Bangkok

(240+ reviews on the web)
Nature / Park
Relax or exercise in the heart of Bangkok at Benjakitti Park, boasting a pleasant lakeside view of the adjacent skyline. Once owned by the Tobacco Monopoly of Thailand, the park has since been transformed. Today it features 2 km (1.2 mi) of bike trails and sand jogging tracks around an artificial lake populated with catfish and turtles. Wander the gardens, stroll the lakeside boardwalks, get out on the water in a paddleboat, or make use of the exercise equipment dotted throughout the grounds. There aren't many food or drink stalls on site, so bring some snacks if you want. Add Benjakitti Park to your Bangkok travel itinerary, and discover new vacation ideas by using our Bangkok vacation route planner.

  • The park is located in the middle of Bangkok and very good place for running ( 1 round is about 1.85 km). There is a car park but limited so would be better to go by public transportation.  more »

  • Nice park, but limited shade in the scorching sun. Lots of joggers between 5-8 pm, closes at 9pm. Got a bicycle track as well. Limited opportunities to find something to drink, there's one guy selling coconut water on the road at the North East entrance, and some vendors outside the south west one.
  • fav park in bangkok! near my place. tranquility within buzzing city. I love doing kayaking here. lake is pretty cool. another fun activity is cycling.
  • This is probably the best public park to walk, run, or cycle, in Bangkok. There is a dedicated track for cyclists, and another for walkers and joggers, which does a complete loop around the rectangular lake. It is a measured distance of 1.8 kilometres and is a great location for some exercise in the early evening when the temperature has cooled off.
  • A large park with a lake in the middle. Lots of sculptures and decorations. Plenty of space to jog, bike, walk, etc. Great vibe and easy to get here using the MRT. A new area just opened up, called "Suan Pa Benjakitti".
  • Nice small park conveniently located near the asok BTS/Sukhumvit Metro stations. There is a 1.8 km running loop around the lake and a separate bike lane.
