Benjakitti Park, Bangkok
(4.4/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
Relax or exercise in the heart of Bangkok at Benjakitti Park, boasting a pleasant lakeside view of the adjacent skyline. Once owned by the Tobacco Monopoly of Thailand, the park has since been transformed. Today it features 2 km (1.2 mi) of bike trails and sand jogging tracks around an artificial lake populated with catfish and turtles. Wander the gardens, stroll the lakeside boardwalks, get out on the water in a paddleboat, or make use of the exercise equipment dotted throughout the grounds. There aren't many food or drink stalls on site, so bring some snacks if you want. Add Benjakitti Park to your Bangkok travel itinerary, and discover new vacation ideas by using our Bangkok vacation route planner.

  • In the first visit to Bangkok we accidentally wandered in this park. And it remained a pleasant feeling of freshness, greenery and flowers. In the following times, coming back here, we opened up and bicycle paths, outdoors, grass, where you can read books and watch for the Thais, who are actively engaged in sports.

  • Near Klong Toei and Queen Sirikit Convention Centre (subway station) this park is great for walking, biking on special lanes and doing sports. No smoking and no drinking of alcohol are allowed in here. Enjoy.
  • A park with a huge lake and a great skyline of Bangkok. Disadvantage are: 1. Very difficult to access for disabilities : entrance, toilet, etc. 2. Without shading of a giant tree around the lake make it really hot before 5 pm.
  • This is an awesome park, with a giant lake in the middle. My favorite part is that you can rent paddle boats to explore around the lake. It's very beautiful and very clean. You can also rent bikes, and there's a nice walking path all around the lake. It's kind of in the middle of nowhere. Even though it's in the city, there's not much to do besides the park right around here. But it's an awesome park.
  • Highly recommended park (comparable to Lumphini Park) to go in the morning and evening for a walk, jog, bicycle or boat for rental and exercise stations. Will be in the shade of trees on the far side and shadow of buildings across the road on the walking track in the earlier part of the morning. Entrance from Queen Sirikit Convention Centre side. If you are walking from Sukhumvit Station the entrance is about 400 metres away.
  • Benjakiti park is a great place to visit whether you are a visitor or if you live in Bangkok. It's a short walk away from the Asoke BTS Station and it's a quick and nice place to escape to when you feel that big city drain. I highly recommend it.
