Baiyoke Sky Tower, Bangkok

3.7
#41 of 1,425 in Things to do in Bangkok
Head up, up, up above Bangkok at Baiyoke Sky Tower, the tallest building in Thailand. Built in 1998, the building includes a lounge bar and hotel. As you approach, notice the modern exterior's nod to Art Deco in its coloration and spacing of windows--something akin to an Art Deco space rocket. Take the elevator up the 309 m (1,014 ft) tower to the top-floor observation deck, which gives extensive and impressive views of the metropolis below. • We were looking for a Rooftop to get a night view of Bangkok but we wanted not gone in a chic too great bar. We therefore turned to the formula to climb to the top floor of the tower with a cocktail at 400 baht per person and we were not disappointed. We may be lucky but it wasn't too crowded elevators or at the bar. Do not miss the lift glass for the descent, I don't know what floor it is located but we stumbled on it by chance because poorly indicated.

  • Great view of the city since the second highest Tower. The must comes when the roof starts to turn 360 °. It must be dressed a minimum.

  • This is a review for our first experience at Baiyoke Sky on December 30, 2017, for a visit at the Observation Deck on level 77:D We tour the Observation Deck after Dinner at Bangkok Sky Restaurant on level 76. Really a very nice place, great views of the great majority of Bangkok city is visible from here. When the night is very nice, we loved it and highly recommend to drop in to the Observation Deck on level 77:D

  • Must visit in Bangkok. Get the buffet pass and have unlimited food and drinks. With this pass you can visit the rotating deck of the tower at 84. The view from deck is spectacular especially in night. Breeze will make you relax !!!! Careful with your camera and phones...if you drop from the fence accidentally..you can forget about it. !!! Take pictures from the mock-up floor which is interesting.
  • The tallest hotel in Thailand. You can go up to have a great view of the city at their roof top. Their breakfast is really good and their buffet dinner attract crowd everyday as well. They even have a rooftop bar, so u can continue to have fun there~ the service is good here, room is big. But never go to their swimming pool, u will only rate 1 star for the pool itself.
  • Great hotel & wonderful view from the Superior Suite room Space Zone & Presidential suites. My home in Bangkok when ever I Travel Bangkok alone or with my family. Great customer service. Delicious Buffet breakfast which we no need to eat lunch after that. Heavy & yummy Breakfast at the top under the Sky. 4 star hotel with service of 5 Star.
  • Needs some love and attention. Outdated style. Lifts are a pain. Noisy pipes in the morning. The room wasn't the cleanest but they're big rooms and many of them. Stayed on the 62nd floor maybe some other rooms are nicer, but the outside of my windows looked like some serious maintenance was needed. Staff were lovely though. And no fault of theirs but it's not in the nicest area. Good connection to the airport though.
  • I was there for the buffet dinner at level 82. The buffet was decent and the price is okay, the view at the level 82 is quite good and you have to take a few different lofts to get up there. With the purchase of the dinner buffet tickets, you're also entitled to the roof viewing at level 84 which is an amazing experience. The outdoor roof is rotating also allow you to see 360degree view around the hotel. It is a great experience and I would visit the place again.
