Baiyoke Sky Tower, Bangkok

3.7
#33 of 1,429 in Things to do in Bangkok
Head up, up, up above Bangkok at Baiyoke Sky Tower, the tallest building in Thailand. Built in 1998, the building includes a lounge bar and hotel. As you approach, notice the modern exterior's nod to Art Deco in its coloration and spacing of windows--something akin to an Art Deco space rocket. Take the elevator up the 309 m (1,014 ft) tower to the top-floor observation deck, which gives extensive and impressive views of the metropolis below. • This visit worth it. We go to 16 17 h. To see during the day, and the time to enjoy the view also of night, which is up I think more so. Small nice echo at the top. If you do not want to wait for the last elevator that goes to the 88, then there is a site near lift of the Tuk Tuk. And the stairs too! With the price of admission you can also enjoy a massage of legs and a drink, attention the drink is not just at the top, but with the massage, do not hesitate to ask, it's to the 20th floor.

  • Really great view of Bangkok, esp night time. The viewing deck is revolving so you can just stand in one place and have view of 360 degree. Viewing floor also nice with collectibles, photo opportunities etc. Must visit if you come to Bangkok. However, fee 400THB is little bit steep with one free drink.
  • Incredible city views and interesting museum. Ticket costs about 400 TNB and it’s worth to visit this place. In the tickets price is also included the visit of fruit bar (30 minuets to try Thai fruits and deserts). It will be better to get to the tower at 11 a.m. - there is no other tourists at these time.
  • very nice view. Better to go. crowded at day time. not bad in the evening. a little noisy with Chinese and old Korean Seefood buffet is quiet nice.
  • Had a good time here, good selection of diffrent kind of food to chose from, eat as much as hou like but will be fined 500b if you waste any wich is fair enought. Geat view of Bankok while you eat, must if your first visit here.
  • We buy tickets 400 Baht per person Good Bangkok city view. You can go to 84Th floor. But if you come here in the day time, maybe a lot of people.

Where to stay in Bangkok

As a commercial, cultural, and tourist center, Bangkok offers a great diversity of accommodations. For long established and chain hotels, try Sukhumvit Road and the areas surrounding the central Siam Square, where budget and luxury rooms are available in abundance. If you are looking for the backpacker zone, head to Khaosan Road, where you'll find a wealth of inexpensive, simple accommodations surrounded by businesses tailored to traveler's needs. Consider staying at a guesthouse to gain a deeper understanding of Thai life.
