Head up, up, up above Bangkok at Baiyoke Sky Tower, the tallest building in Thailand. Built in 1998, the building includes a lounge bar and hotel. As you approach, notice the modern exterior's nod to Art Deco in its coloration and spacing of windows--something akin to an Art Deco space rocket. Take the elevator up the 309 m (1,014 ft) tower to the top-floor observation deck, which gives extensive and impressive views of the metropolis below. Baiyoke Sky Tower Reviews
Ездили на экскурсию с Анекстуром. Сооружение разочаровало как экстерьером, так и интерьером. Внутри выглядит как дешевый торговый центр. Все ободрано как-то. В экскурсию входит шведский стол. Дешевая ... more »We went on a tour with Anestour. The building was disappointing with both the exterior and the interior. Inside looks like a cheap shopping mall. Everything is encouraged somehow. The tour includes a buffet. Cheap canteen. The food on the buffet is rubbish. Maybe there are other restaurants, but Anestour takes to the trash. The view from above is unusual. Impressive. But the very design of the site is squalid.

You go up to the lobby where everything looks sloppy, old, poorly maintained. You pay a cover of 400 baths (redeemable for a drink) and you go up for other elevators of fright, very ugly. At that moment I wondered if the facilities in general have so little maintenance, what will be left for the elevators... but I decided to think that all the money they make is invested in those machines! You get to the top where the view really impresses, it's beautiful, but all aromatized with the smell of wet carpet. There is a bar that looks like cheap 90's (where we redeemed the entrance for a water... because they don't feel like more). You can climb a little higher, to an area protected by bars (instead of glass) and this floor will be the comfort of the paid cover... If the day is cloudy, there will be no consolation! I don't really recommend it if the intention is to spend a pleasant time having drinks while looking at the view (there are other rooftops with much higher quality at better cost); if the intention is to contemplate the views and take pictures, go up!
Het personeel is vriendelijk maar spreekt niet goed Engels. De kamer was ruim. Daar wij meerdere dagen in het hotel verbleven was het iedere dag een gedoe met de liften om te gaan ontbijten. Moesten v... more »The staff is friendly but does not speak English well. The room was spacious. Since we stayed in the hotel for several days it was a hassle with the lifts to go for breakfast every day. Had to lift from one elevator to another, direct was not possible. There are two floors where you can have breakfast. One does not indicate that one floor is meant for No Pork and the other has well-baked bacon. This hotel gets me a seven as appreciation.
