  • My wife and I only had a few days to enjoy Bangkok, so we hired A and K to take us around. This spot was one of our favorite activities for our entire trip. Tam and her team / family are amazing. Her ...  more »

  • Tam and her family were such great hosts inviting us onto their compound to teach us about Thai cooking. We got to learn about Thai herbs and spices from the garden she tends to to grow a lot of her own things. She took the time to show us how to cook 4 traditional Thai dishes and then we went to cook it ourselves! We got to eat it when we were done cooking. Somehow hers tasted better than mine and I used the same portions of everything! Tam and her talking bird Basil are fun to watch and be around. I highly recommend this especially if you get them to take you on a river tour to her home.
  • The owner is really nice and has a lot of interesting stories but don't expect a cooking class. The ingredients are ready, you pour them in the order with an aid in front of you. Basically you do nothing. You don't cook often and want a cultural experience, go for it. You want to cook, find something else. Clearly too expensive for half a day.
  • From your hotel pickup you take a boat ride from the river into the canal directly to her home. The herb garden tour and excellent cooking class will spoil you. A half day well spent.
  • Absolutely wonderful Thai cooking class. The day starts with a hotel pick up and drop off to the pier where a morning boat ride on the river is a delight to the senses. Warm welcome by Tam the owner. Amazing garden tour. Simple Thai home style cooking recipes sourced from the Top 10 most popular thai dishes. I have been to several thai cooking classes in Bangkok (including Blue Elephant and some lesser well known ones) but Anita is the best.
  • What a wonderful place to learn Thai cooking. The place is run by a husband and wife team; Montri and Tam. Montri is a former Thai Tourism executive and is in charge of guest service. Tam does the teaching and her English is very good. Arrival is via water taxi. The school is located in their old family compound where you will get a tour of the herb garden. The classes are small and it feels like you are at a friends home. Skip those large commercialized classes and head here! The school has been widely written up in publications like Conde Nast, Bon Appetit, etc. as well as featured in many travel shows. A must for any fan of Thai food who is visiting Bangkok.
