  • Of all the stops, this was one of our favorites. Kids dug the dozens of rooster statues. This temple is older than Ayutthaya. Large, awesome reclining Buddha (turn left just after the ticket and go st...  more »
  • The temple itself is not that great either, in fact the roof collapsed and remain unadorned brick walls, besides a near chedi nice enough for the presence of the statues of singha (guardian Lion). The peculiarity lies in the fact that on the base of a building next door, were placed as offerings, hundreds of statues of colorful roosters whose symbolism is explained in a sign in front of the structure, see.

  • Only one nice attraction. And 20 bath entrance fee
  • It took me 25 minutes from Ratchaburana to this ruin. Entry 50 bath. This one was not on my list initially, I arrived there only by chance. It is one of the lesser visited ruins but I treasured it the most. Nowadays, it is, in fact, a working temple. When I entered the chapel, I was greeted by a monk, I was shocked by it because I was under the understanding that they could not interact with women; it felt truly special! he invited me near his post, he did some sort of chant on me, and then he put a bracelet on my wrist. It was really nice, it felt so peaceful. The most outstanding ruins here was a chedi, surrounded by lion’s statues. I noticed numerous rooster statues as well, which has some sort of story about a cook fight between Burmese and Ayutthaya royals.
  • This 830 years old temple is very interesting.
  • A place where you can get to interact with buddhist monks and spend time in he lawns that are maintained.
  • This is not part of the historic park, so in the ruins are incongruous photos of the Buddha which detract from the historic nature of the place. The cheddi across from the viharn has not been spoiled in this manner, and is very cool.
