  • This ancient remains is quite complete. We can imagine all old buildings form while we walk around. There are lots of big tree stand around the main temple protected us from sunlight.  more »

  • Wat Maheyong is located away from the center of Ayutthaya, behind the train station. We came by bicycle but I'm afraid I can't recount how exactly to get here as we got quite lost long the way... anyw...  more »

  • Not overwhelmingly large, but there is enough nice stuff to provide lots of Instagram posts. As an added bones there are many real nice cats all over
  • The major buildings in this temple are its chedi (stupa) and ubosot (ordination hall). The chedi's platform is supported by 80 sculpted elephants, and its ubosot is currently under worship.
  • If you have the time for exploring some of the temples on the outskirts of Ayutthaya, this is one of the suggested ones. If you're tight on time, skip it and opt for Wat Yaichaimongkol instead. There is a collapsed grand hall that contains the remnants of a Buddha (more like stacked rocks) and a broken stupa, but we felt there are some more impressive ruins in the area of you have limited time.
  • Good temple
  • The temple of the king as of Ayutaya periods, as well as nowadays.
