You come to Thailand Buddhist picture is essential. It is a spectacle like the symbol of Thailand. The temple is, everybody can enjoy. Might want to take a walk. The building is quite old it rotted away is feels history. Is coming to Thailand, I think calm as a natural, such as dogs and cats, and squirrels. Also if you have the opportunity to go visit.

The temple of Wat Mahathat is disappointing. Out of the picture of the Buddha head in the branches of a tree, much remains. No effort made on the spot to explain with signs in English. No documentation provided at the entrance. In front of the Buddha head is the crush of the pathetic selfies poles. It is far from an atmosphere of reverence. I advise to spend more time on other temples like Eat Phra if sanphet or Chai wathanaran

Ayutthaya ruins and take a tour, three times I went here is largest, it was crowded with many tourists. Where you are headless Buddha statues and pagodas are tilted. Buddha statue with the head seems to be the restored statues.

I went to Thailand to see this. Gorgeous temples, color and scenery. It was so hot though. Any angle is picture perfect. Paid 50baht for entrance fee, then ended the day well.

Definitely worth a visit especially as it's so close to Bangkok. The floating Buddha head is the highlight for sure but the rest of the ruins are interesting as well.

One of the most astonishing temples in Thailand. We were there at sunset. Not too hot and the red touch from the sunset.

After visiting Ban Pa In Palace on this one day Ayutthaya tour, we then stepped foot at Wat Maha That. For history buff like me, this Palace is mind blowing and mind touch. History dating back to many many years, the ruins speaks for itself, and must see is iconic Buddha head on the ground trapped in the roots of Bodhi tree.

The great ancient tample was built in early Ayutthaya era . It's so gorgeous and elegant. There is a few explaination for each zone in there so tourists may be bored but most of them 're impressed how beautiful Wat Mahathat is.
