  • Do not expect wonders but it is nice to visit, you will see the Buddha in the roots which is quite funny to see but the best I find is to see the amount of work done to build the various buildings that dot the land. To see the different statutes that are damaged by time and events

  • This one-day tour made us see the 3 key points of the old capital all quite close together. All very beautiful but perhaps the most mystical and unmissable the famous Buddha in the tree and then the other giant scrambled Buddha carved into the rock. Pleasant and interesting day,as advice is a nice outing if done with a tour guide who tells the whole story and anecdotes of the place because it is very interesting .

  • This was our second temple (wat) visit and again in the late afternoon so the weather was cooler and the tour buses had all gone. As with the other site they are improving the lighting system in the g...  more »

  • Great place to visit. Around 2 hours by driving from Bangkok city. There’s a night market near by. Would recommend to stay there while u visit all the historic places. One day return seemed a bit rush to us and don’t forget that traffic near city. It’s a MUST not to wear the short tops , no sleeves, vest and short pants for both male and female. Need to purchase the ticket at front entrance before entering. Price around $50 bat per each visit.
  • This is my favorite site in Ayutthaya. Here is where the Buddha in the tree is, and the site is an interesting and serene place to walk around. You can see the burned walls and buddhas but the buildings seem well preserved. there is a park surrounding the site, which makes it feel more serene. some places with shade where you can ditty and relax for a bit before exploring again. Art the exit is nice to get done refreshments such as dragon fruit or done coconut water.
  • If it's a nice escape from the city and if you don't set your expectations uber high your not going to be disappointed. Much of the grounds are in repair or gave been repaired. Our guide did a little talk and turned us loose for our own free time to make some photos and explore. 30 minutes feels a bit rushed but an hour might feel a but long. Parking lot vendors price drinks and fruit reasonably and washroom facilities are 10bht.
  • True ancient monument. Well preserved and accessible. The iconic vine-stricken Buddha's head is here.
  • Nice historical park in Ayutthaya. There is unseen thing like the Buddha Head in the tree's root. The fee is very cheap (10 Baht for Thai and 50 Baht for foreigners)
