Island
Unwind in the impressively quiet and charming atmosphere on Poda Island, 25 minutes by boat from the beaches of the Raileh peninsula. The small limestone island circled by a soft white sand beach is ideal for a little relaxation as you look back across the water. Enjoy a trip out to a coral reef--just 20 m (65.6 ft) offshore--for some excellent snorkeling opportunities and underwater photography of the marine life. • Poda Island, also known as National Marine park... though this island has additional charge of 400 baht per person, you can not avoid it.. if you buy the package of 4 island tour, expect you WILL have to pay additional price to get to this island, else, you can't sit alone in the boat for an hour. My trip organizer managed to bring delicious vegetarian food, sweet water melon and a cake to fill your stomach. You can not litter on this island, all items must be taken back to the boat (even if its garbage, which your guide would manage!) Didn't have to explore this park completely, but its definitely worth 400 baht you pay to visit.
  • Visited Poda Island as it was part of the Four Islands Tour. Clean sandy beach with clear blue sea, ideal for swimming. Was initially very quiet when we arrived, but didn't last long as more and more people arrived and the beach became very busy. Nevertheless a beautiful island.
  • One of the 4 islands trip, the biggest island with nice sandy beach. Swimming is nice and trees offer a welcome shadow. Unfortunately the opportunities for refreshment are very limited. Also there are no trash bins, just signs asking you to take the garbage with you back to landmass.
  • We visited here with the package four islands tour. After snorkeling near to the Tup Island we were brought to this island and had lunch. The seats and mats are available to rent (100B each). One small shop is over there selling coconuts (100B), instant noodles, beer and soft drinks. Many sunbathing people are there. Nice place to shoot photos as well. Super white sandy beach and clear water to play around. We enjoyed the view very much.
  • This beach was quite crowded during our visit but we could still managed to get a nice spot for swimming though it's not the best spot for snorkeling. There is a booth selling drinks and snacks with reasonable price. Check out the stall behind the booth which selling mango, it was fresh and nice!
