Nopparat Thara Beach, Ao Nang

3.3
#4 of 11 in Beaches in Krabi Town
Take a stroll along Nopparat Thara Beach, where you can dip your toes in the shallow water or picnic in the shade of coconut trees. Locals know the beach as Klong Haeng, or Dry River, because the water retreats pretty far at low tide, allowing you to walk all the way to the small islets that sit offshore. Though the beach attracts smaller and more diverse crowds than nearby Ao Nang, you will still find plenty of places to stop for a cool drink or a bite to eat. • Pretty good, but build a shelter until the waves down to adult mature love it sitting without shade shop, Bud, Loei. The store is big, so mod birds-plan statements servants love.

  • Long sandy beaches lined with bars and restaurants. A lot of tourists and not much local use so prices in accordance. Further up this coast line you can find more Thai orientated bars and restaurants that are significantly cheaper. Hospitality as always is great and very welcoming. Low tides give way to long beaches as elsewhere on this coastline. Worth visiting with easy access to nearby resorts and islands
  • A nice beach to relax. The views are amazing and it's funny to see all the crabs come out when the tide is out. The only unfortunate part is that when the tide is out you need to walk pretty far to get a decent swim. Sunset is really beautiful too. With a mix of purple and red and even some orange colours it feel magical to see the sun set over the sea and the boats that are still out. And it has easy access. The beach has a nice walkway and a lot of stairs to get down to the sand. Nice place
  • Sun kissed yellow sand and aquamarine sea. Gentle waves. Suitable for enjoyment of young family. Beach lined with hotels, eateries and massage places.
  • This is nearest beach within walking distance from our hotel (about 10 minutes’ walk). Personally don’t really like this beach as the sand here is not smooth (contain lots of small rocks/ corals/ debris) and may scratch your feet. So please walk carefully on barefoot or with your shoes on.
  • Depending on you plans you may want to check the tides before coming here. On high tide it is swimmable, although shallow. On low tide you need to walk a good while across flat sand to reach water. There's a good selection of services on the street a few meters behind the beach.
