Nopparat Thara Beach, Ao Nang

3.3
#4 of 10 in Beaches in Krabi Town
Take a stroll along Nopparat Thara Beach, where you can dip your toes in the shallow water or picnic in the shade of coconut trees. Locals know the beach as Klong Haeng, or Dry River, because the water retreats pretty far at low tide, allowing you to walk all the way to the small islets that sit offshore. Though the beach attracts smaller and more diverse crowds than nearby Ao Nang, you will still find plenty of places to stop for a cool drink or a bite to eat. Before you head to Ao Nang, plan trip itinerary details with our user-friendly Ao Nang trip planner, to make sure you see all that Ao Nang has to offer, including Nopparat Thara Beach.

Very quiet beach that is rather neglected which is a pity. It is not appropriate for swimming really, but it is a great spot to catch the sunset after a meal at a nearby restaurant  more »

This is the area of the peaceful beach. Good beach, about, but kivisempi on the ground. Well services also near here.

Beautiful beach, very wild place with shady, ideal space for relaxation, many Thai come Sunday to spend a moment of relaxation, family lunch. Nice walk to do on a beach which can be explored at low tide to swim it is trickier, but this place is magical.

The beach is too small to hangout for long time. We noticed the waters to be touching the beach end in the morning and the water go behind during evening. Better plan to get into waters if you are visiting this place.

Want privacy and and to spend some time on a great beach? This is your jam then, not too much going on here so I like to grab take away forma restaurant and plop down in the sand to eat and enjoy alone!

A beautiful beach, with many shops and small restaurants lining the road opposite the water. Presently, many old structures are being demolished to be rebuilt. When finished this will be good, but presently a bit of an eyesore

Nice beach. Calm and less crowded in evening specially. But its less lively then ao nang beach.

It's not spectacular tho but it's more quiet, nicer and relax than ao nang beach. Could be another option to wander
