  • Our guide took us to this floating market instead of the larger one. And indeed it is small! So small that there were only like 10 boats of vendors. But they were busy! Because there were locals actua...  more »
  • about 20 minutes drive from the famous Damoen Sadouk are this floating market. It is 10 times smaller but perhaps more fun because there are almost no tourists, everything is much cheaper and the people are much friendlier here. Make sure here a stop to bv a nice lunch.

  • The THA Kha floating market held only on Saturday and Sunday mornings between 0800 and 1100 hours. Cross, coming from Amphawa, 325 North and after 5 km turn to the 3011 turn right (signposted). The small Amphawa Foating market is a narrow canal surrounded by palm plantations in tropical environment. Cannot be seen from the road, you need to run 200 m through an improvised market hall to get to the market, but well sign-posted. Here you will find original currently Thailand: approx. 200 m wooden footbridge, before a few boats with agricultural products, which are offered primarily for locals to sell. On the land side stalls but also the one or other rustic Café, where you can settle down for little money and watch the bustle of the market. Then book for 200 THB/person of one of the hand-driven boats! Here get to even the hat free!. There are also motor boats, but which is now already more touristy... With the hand-driven long boats you will be taken to a family-run oil "Factory" (30 min), where plantations extracted Palm juice is processed to Palm sugar, can also be bought. Nice experience! Journey time approx. 1 hour - combined: as long as no buses here not yet arrive, in my opinion that is the only "floating market", which still worthy of the name.

  • Small but nice market, with good local food and very cheap price
  • great especially if you come on full or new moon days, lots of real old school farmers. on weekends have some tourists but way more relaxed than Amphawa or Damnoen Saduak. great food. forget the noisy longtail boats, take a rowboat ride around some of the farms, only around 200 baht per boat for an hour.
  • Small but nice market with quiet a lot of snack to try, a small trip on boat can bring you to coconuts plantation
  • Nice local food and very cheap price.
  • Such a wonderful place.
