Where to stay in Amphawa

The small canalside village of Amphawa has a number of guesthouses in quaint, wooden buildings, and some hotels and resorts. As it gradually develops, new midrange accommodations pop up here and there. Consider arranging your stay in Amphawa for weekdays, as you'll likely be one of the only tourists here--lower room prices and lots of availability mean it's easy to book on the fly. Be aware that the weekends bring in a lot of tourism; prices will be inflated, and many places fully booked, so reserve ahead.

  • The museum was small. Entrance fee was 30baht. There was a rental service for Thai traditional costume. 100 baht and you could wear it to take photos around the museum.
