  • We had a great time during our 5 day safari tour to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorogoro and we saw a lot of animals including the big five. Thanks to Jackson's best driver and guide, hi c...  more »
  • Richard Kilonzo's entire operation is on a wing and a prayer. The vehicle we drove around for 8 long days was rickety, the food he packed for us from Arusha was crap. We did not see everything we had ...  more »
  • We decided to make this safari in couple. We chose this company to its safari on 3 days which is a great price compared to the competition (about $ 1200) we were afraid about the camp, the qualification of the guide, food and the dilapidated state of the vehicle. Everything was almost perfect. Joseph was an excellent guide even though he does not speak french. The food was excellent the noon and morning. The picnic was average but sufficient lunch. The tents were clean. We just had to ask a second mattress to sleep comfortably. Concerning sanitation, do not expect to luxury as we are in the Savannah so plan flip flops for the shower and toilet paper. About the parks, the Ngorongo crater is the best as well thanks to its landscapes to its wildlife. The Tarangire Park was nice also. We've seen a lot of animals. Cons of Manyara has sucked for us. We turned all day and have almost seen nothing apart from monkeys. Richard and his son were welcoming and accommodating. We thank them for this and return may be one day to visit the Serengeti. They accommodated us in their "Machame luxury" hotel the night before the safari. It's comfortable, but the restaurant has not much to offer. On the 3 times where we ate, twice we were able to get what we wanted. PS: if they offer to visit a Masai village next to Arusha, run! The atmosphere is very strange. We felt that they were not happy to welcome us. It was not authentic. They charge $ 5 admission per person and strongly invite us to buy jewelry as well as inside to make donations for the school. From the moment they were told that we didn't buy, they changed their behavior. The visit was quickly cut short (about 15 min). If you have any questions do not hesitate. Florian

  • I cannot begin to explain how much fun we had and how much we saw. It was one of the best experiences of my life. Our guide Shabani was so passionate, he cared about the animals he cared about how much fun we had and made sure we had a good time. We engaged with him and tried to have a laugh, he was good fun and relaxed. We saw EVERYTHING, the big 5; Lions, a family of cheetahs, sooo many elephants close and far, buffalo, rhino, giraffes, flamingos, hippos, wildebeast. We saw a baby wildebeast walk for the first time, so emotional. Some of the world's only tree climbing lions in Lake Manyara National park. The lion king film is actually like a documentary... the lions sit on rocks all the animals hate the hyenas and pumba trots around. The zebras, wildebeest and hippos all hang out together. Ok, there's no song and dance or crazy monkey... but it's basically the same. Check out Instagram for proof of the amazingness @seemaamistry I have also had people contact me on Instagram to book the same safari we did. Lake Manyara, serengeti, and Ngorogoro crater, 4 days 3 nights camping. They bright mattresses and set up our tents every night. The food was good, curry, soup, potatoes, crepes for breakfast, not great if you're vegetarian you get a lot of carrots! The lunches were a bit dry. And they allow 3 litres of water per day pp which was plenty for us. The serengeti campsite was the most rustic shall we say with big bugs, and we were in the national park not surrounded by a fence. But we were absolutely fine. The other campsites were clean and had decent showers. The weather was perfect, hot but not crazy hot and we had an overcast day which was a lot more comfortable. All in all one of the best experiences of my life.
  • I booked 5 days of safari with them. The owner Richard was always precise, kind, available and helped me also during the days before and after the safari. I absolutely recommend this agency.
  • One man tour guide and the other expert hunter; his ability to stalk the Big 5 game and spot them from afar impressed us all. Having been in the industry for over ten years meant he had a photographic memory of all the parks we went to (Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro) so he didn't need GPS or any maps; on top of that had a very high stature amongst the other tour drivers so was constantly kept informed whenever there was a sighting. Overall a great experience and was highly satisfied with the camping equipment and having a cook along for the ride to prepare three square meals a day (just be warned the cook does go overboard with how much food one person can eat). Conclusion I would highly recommend this tour operator as I have seen and experienced something spectacular and still can't get over how he managed to spot game at such far distances.
  • a terrible experience with this man/owner Richard, avoid business! I repeat: never use them!! the man left us by his associates kidnap (after a previous failed attempt to lure us in his Office) to his Office in a dead-end street where the fence was closed. Threatening language and an aggressive attitude would bring us to the cash or to have to convince the pins at a bank. We had to pay cash right away even though we have always indicated that we like to weeks in advance by visa pay with an invoice. The Cook (Sokofo) and the Guide (Abdi) are fantastic, but they also work for other companies.
