  • This is a really nice cultural place to visit. It gets so overwhelming as there's so much to read and see. The curio shops are quite expensive though and everything is in dollars. Beats logic if you ask me since locals rarely have dollars with them.
  • Of everything that we encountered in Tanzania from Crocodiles eating Wildebeest to a Lioness calling for her friends after dusk this short stop was something I wish I had more time to experience. I will go back here. On our way in from Kilimanjaro International Airport our amazing guide suggested we take a quick 30 minute break and check out this amazing gallery. I am so glad he did. This was 30 minutes of my life I will never forget. The quality of art found in this, the largest art gallery on the continent, is worth your time no matter how short your vacation. I highly recommend it. Unfortunately, since we had just arrived in country we didn’t know what we wanted. This is the best art you will see in Tanzania. From $1 trinkets to $5,000 masterpieces. I even saw a number of very beautiful bronze pieces (I don’t know if they were cold cast but I doubt it.) I really wish I had more time here. I could easily spend four hours wandering through the amazing art displayed on multiple floors. Go here!!
  • Definitely worth a visit when you are in Arusha. The Art Gallery is beautiful and I could spent a whole day there exploring.
  • Great place to buy African Artifacts and Tanzanite. If you like to bargain- this is not the place!
  • A place to shop affordable and resonably priced souvenirs (*fixed price*). It has shopping area, dining area, and a separate art exhibition center, which houses lots of local paintings, arts, sculptures and others. Nice place to visit. This place has lots of souvenir selection and the price is reasonable, way cheaper than the huge tourist souvenir shop (1-2 hours) before reaching Arusha coming back from Crater.
