Victory Park, Dushanbe

4.0
#3 of 6 in Parks in Dushanbe
Nature / Park
At the top of a hill, Victory Park offers some of the finest scenic views of the Tajik capital. Back in the Soviet days you could ride a cable car to the top--it is still there but out of function. The park is home to a Soviet-style memorial dedicated to Tajik people who lost their lives in World War II. Sit at one of the restaurants overlooking the city or visit a traditional cottage built in 2013. The park is also a popular spot for wedding parties. Put Victory Park into our Dushanbe vacation planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

Where to stay in Dushanbe

By national capital standards, Dushanbe offers slim pickings in terms of accommodations. A small cluster around Khusravi Dekhlavi Street in the heart of the city includes a handful of Western chain hotels, while a smattering of smaller, more budget-friendly options can be found in the streets surrounding Rudaki Park. The youth hostel culture has yet to take off in Dushanbe, with only limited options catering to the backpacker crowd.
