Located close to large flagpole, statue of Somoni, and large park. Lots of flowers and trees there. Lovely views but very hot during the middle of the day. Go early or in late afternoon.  more »

The town comes alive in the evening. Happy locals hide in cooler places, and when the Sun hides in the Park becomes quite crowded. The Park is very clean and working fountains, the evening include backlighting for fountains. A pleasant place to stroll and eat ice cream

Walking in the Park one evening in June. We really enjoyed the beautiful, pure and light (Park is well lit). Inside the park there are fountains. Perfect for an evening stroll.

It's a nice space inside the small city of Dushanbe. I wouldn't recommend women walk alone after dark as it's fairly empty and dark. Nice roses blooming and other greenery. Overlooks the racetrack to the west with nice views.

Although this park could use some improved landscape maintenance, it's still enjoyable to visit and walk around.

Lovely park. However, it was created a few years back as a substitute to a Soviet-era amusement park. As a result, all long-lived tall trees were pulled down, and new ones were planted instead. Therefore, one hardly can access shade in a very hot summer weather. Experience it in spring time.

Where to stay in Dushanbe

By national capital standards, Dushanbe offers slim pickings in terms of accommodations. A small cluster around Khusravi Dekhlavi Street in the heart of the city includes a handful of Western chain hotels, while a smattering of smaller, more budget-friendly options can be found in the streets surrounding Rudaki Park. The youth hostel culture has yet to take off in Dushanbe, with only limited options catering to the backpacker crowd.
