  • The museum is a big newly constructed building just next to Rudaki Park (or maybe part of it ?) It has a lot of items on display but I found the place too dark to be able to see properly. It needs mor...  more »

  • An excellent museum. The exposition starts with lower floors continue to be higher and higher (go to arrows). Consequently starts everything with geology, biology, etc, that was and is on the territory of Tajikistan, hereinafter referred to as tribes appeared, religion and so on. Very interesting. Not understood by only a huge Hall with photos of the President and the great Hall in the style field of miracles with gifts to Tajikistan from other countries of the world. In general I advise!

  • It is an existing museum! A lot of history could be seen there. I would definitely suggest to go there.
  • Cleverly maintained, huge from outside, specious from inside. Once entered, you start off from the department of ancient exhibits and move to contemporary Tajikistan as you proceed. Everyone is encouraged to visit the museum. Keep in mind that museum is open for visitors on particular days.
  • Nice Museum. The archtecture is pretty impressive, everything is new and clean but the exhibitions are a little boring and not very informative.
  • Impressive from a distance, but bad proportions, cheap building techniques close up.
  • 👍👍👍👍👍

Where to stay in Dushanbe

By national capital standards, Dushanbe offers slim pickings in terms of accommodations. A small cluster around Khusravi Dekhlavi Street in the heart of the city includes a handful of Western chain hotels, while a smattering of smaller, more budget-friendly options can be found in the streets surrounding Rudaki Park. The youth hostel culture has yet to take off in Dushanbe, with only limited options catering to the backpacker crowd.
