Hsing Tian Kong, Zhongshan District

4.3
Pray for wealth and luck in business at Hsing Tian Kong, a popular Taoist temple in Taipei’s Zhongshan district. An impressive structure erected on the corner of a very busy intersection, the temple worships Guan Yu, the patron god of businesspeople. Constructed in 1967, the temple features many intricate carved designs and contains a collection of dragon sculptures. Locals flock here to pray, while people wait in line to get a blessing or take part in open lectures held by various Confucian scholars. The busy temple has its own subway station, and no burning of incense is allowed inside the temple. • Unique Temple, very busy, recommend standing off to the side, out of the traffic queues and enjoy the ceilings and architecture. Impressive during the day, it's also well lit at night for a different view. Many vegetarian restaurant options in the streets around the Temple.
  • Very famous temple in Taipei Buddhism and Dao religion center. For sightseeing, good to spend half hour to visit and have your pray for getting best wishes. Most local people visit for pray to get guidance and good luck from gods, for getting rid of bad luck.
  • This place is very calm and nice to visit. Im pure Catholic but i do appreciate this place to worship in a way its it depends in your faith and i believe in one God. 😇
  • We were on the way to Taipei fish market and found out this temple accidentally. Well, I just know that this is very famous local people since there were crowded when we went inside. People come here for worships and respecting Gods. They also come to purify themself and ask gods to help them away from Devils. Very noisy people on that day.
  • So in love with the atmosphere here. Peaceful, quiet and representing Chinese Temple architecture. MUST come!!
