  • The temple is nice with some relics. The temple has a great view of Sun Moon Lake. If you have the time, it is okay to visit but not a must see attraction.  more »
  • This beautiful temple pays tribute to a monk who wandered from China to India via the Silk Road. Not content with that he travelled around India before returning home. The temple has magnificent...  more »
  • The exterior is much more interesting than the inside with a number of statues and map depicting travels. The top two rooms are for those who want a basic understanding of Buddhism.  more »

  • such a wonderful place ❤️ to visit once you're in Taiwan.. You'll love the view and enjoy the boat trip around the lake, and take a chance to claim some stairs to visit the temple.
  • An interesting place with a buddhism history. The good place for photo shotting withSun Moon lake nearby. There is a map which show the route of famous chinese monk who brought buddhism to China from India.
  • Weather was hot and quite windy.. Took a boat ride to reach this temple. Be patience if you want to take photo with the standing rock in front of this temple which facing the scenery lake, because you need to queue and be ready if you were to meet a group of china people there 🤐 we had a bad experience with them..
  • It makes me feel clam and peaceful. Furthermore there is a good shop selling boiled eggs with Chinese herb.
  • The Temple is nothing special. From here we walked to Ci'en Pagoda which was about a kilometer away. All up it was an enjoyable experience.😊
