Climb the 366 stairs at the Year of Steps staircase to Wenwu Temple. The site features three halls, one of which is dedicated to First Ancestor Kaiji and the God of Literature, the second one to the God of War, and the third one to Confucius. Inside the temple you will see a bronze statue of Confucius, which is the only one in Taiwan, as well as images of his disciples and two Chinese guardian lions in front of it, guarding the entrance.   • Easy to go to Wen Wu Temple you can take a rounded bus, this place is beautiful. There are gods in the beliefs of Chinese traditions.  more »
  • After visiting the Sun Moon Lake, you should also go along here. It is once again a beautiful temple in Taiwan.

  • Great and beautiful Chinese temple walk through all levels by a lot of steps onthe top level have a very large and beautiful Stone gate and nice sculptures on the walls. Top view can see whole temple touch a fresh air. Nice for relaxing moment with beautiful view.
  • Been to many temples and I must confess Wenwu was definitely able to impress me. One could spend a lot of time just roaming through this place. Go to the sky deck for a spectacular view. Beautiful temple and be sure to come for the sunset. So beautiful!
  • I been here on Oct 18 suggest to climb up to the roof top it’s a nice view of sun moon lake
  • Huge Temple in Sun Moon Lake, you can reach the temple by around the lake bus and stop in Wenwu Temple Bus Stop. This temple facing the Lake and shaped like hillock. So, ensure you go all the way to the top of the temple and you will find some beautiful relics wall. You also can find a lot of souvenir and snacks sell inside the temple. In front of the temple always spotted live music from Formosan Aboriginal People.
