Queen's Head, Xinbei

(3.9/5 based on 100+ reviews on the web)
Witness 4,000 years old Queen's Head, which got its name because it resembles Queen Elizabeth. Strong winds, seawater, and erosion formed this mushroom rock. The current name came into existence after the top of the rock formation fell off, causing it to look like the queen's profile. This natural wonder and tourist attraction is in danger of falling, as the "neck" portion of the rock gets smaller every year. You can purchase figures of this rock formation at a nearby souvenir shop. Add Queen's Head and other attractions to your Xinbei trip itinerary using our Xinbei trip itinerary maker.

  • Must visit! The natural sights at Yehliu Geopark are very enticing and the pathway easy to negotiate. The rushing sea waves, Pacific Ocean, blue skies and intriguing natural scupltures all make this a...  more »

  • Very cool rock formations with nice paths. Can get crowded and there may be a long line to get photo in front of the rock but the surrounding area is open and just as interesting.
  • Special natural crafted stone. Only bad about this place is too many China tourist which make this place crowded and noisy.
  • Great location with nature at work. Very crowded with tourists.
  • Great location, but it's crowded like crazy with mainland Chinese people. Doesn't matter which time you go. I've tried very early and very late. It's always crowded.
  • Went when the park was about to close so the line was short and was able to take a nice photo with the Queens Head. Probably would not have lined up if the line was longer as there is no shade while you wait.
