Where to stay in Xinbei

Far more accommodations lie in adjacent Taipei than in Xinbei. That said, if you're keen to stay in Xinbei, you won't have any problems finding a place to sleep. Banqiao district offers the largest collection of hotels, guesthouses, and hostels in the new city, particularly around Fuzhong station. A similar variety, but greater number, of accommodations can be found in Taipei's central district, with a vast array of hotels great and small, guesthouses, hostels, and boutiques available to the east of the Tamsui River.

  • A typical night market found in every corner of Taipei serving sub-standard food full of oil...& the taste & price are not cheaper than in KL...!  more »
  • The atmosphere is great, little bit crowdy but it's all part of it. Relatively cheap, great foods, entertainment and shopping opportunities e.g. gifts for the family. Definitely go around if you can.  more »

  • Lots of food here. I recommend going on an empty stomach so you can try everything. Food is also pretty cheap too.
  • Its the first time I ate fried stinky tofu and it was so good. there are lots of food if you know how to order. but most vendors are nice and try to communicate even you don't speak mandarin. I enjoy this night market very much.
  • this place less of tourist (compare to shilin) and more food variety. do try the fried fish paste with a quarter hard boiled egg as filling - stall toward end of street market.
  • Not a big night market, although it has a good variety of food selection and one street dedicated to clothing. Popular and crowded on weekends from 6pm.
  • Good night market located in walkable distance from Fuzhou MRT station. One can enjoy lot of local food.
