Daxi Old Street, Taoyuan

3.7
Get acquainted with the local culture and history at Daxi Old Street. Once a busy merchant street bustling with the trade of tea and camphor, today it represents a tourist attraction where you can get a great sense of the local way of life. See the many stores and houses, whose architecture represents a mixture of Western and Eastern style, with numerous Baroque facades decorating the shops, cafes, and restaurants. Mingle with the locals and learn about the history of the street and the town, and don't forget to check out what's on offer at the small stores. • Just to Daxi Old Street, feel very ordinary, selling things and snacks stalls trafficking many, there are wood art and beans Dry is a well-known soil production, and other seems to sell similar to other scenes. But then it went on a few more times, it is interesting to discover that the old house after finishing the small tea shop/restaurant/café, house and meal features, like to choose a museum, quietly drink coffee or tea, a side of the old house

  • The last time I went to Daxi Street about 14 years ago, the impression of the silent silence and the ancient Pot wind has been completely out of existence, just like a market, there is no cultural sense, really have leisure to go again. But the gyro performance near Daxi Bridge is cool and can be a test.

  • Many years have not come this traditional century old street! Today is still the same as crowds crowded traffic is not good, I stopped the car after 12 minutes to walk! A heap of beans and dry shop, all 巒 pork feet, hemp traditional snack bar! And then there's a big parking field on the other side of the bridge.

  • Incredible weekend getaway for the locals and a whole package experience for the travellers. Scenic walks along the creek and the old streets with countless food options are worth the second visit. Wouldn't advice if it's rainy though
  • Very cool! This is a very vibrant and lively place. The old buildings create a nice atmosphere, and all of the food stalls and shops are great. I was able to try a lot of different traditional food, and I'm happy I visited.
