  • This is a 15 minute walk from the agile station because it's the second time you've been here, and for the first time, this is a great choice for a different season and an evening photo. Unfortunately, many shops are resting or there may be more humanities art to participate in.

  • You can take a walk to the public library station, there are a number of ladders, you may have to wear a better walking shoes, there are many features of the store, very suitable for a walk here to take photos

  • Treasure Crush is a dependents settlement, it is filled with the various artistic activities that are introduced by the residents themselves to build and reuse, the interesting space atmosphere, winding trails, the bottom lawn can stretch the activity, is a can go to see the scenery point!

  • In 1980s and 90s the government ran a campaign to clean up the many slum-like villages built by the KMT soldiers after they fled to Taiwan with KMT. But some urban planners and architects started a discussion with the city government to preserve the village here. After many years of negotiations, campaigning and finally upgrading of facilities, the village is kept - old residents are allowed to live here and artists move in. It is an urban renewal experiment like no other place, and whether it will succeed is uncertain. But the fascinating space and landscape is attracting lots of visitors.
  • Very quiet over Christmas, Mondays, Tuesdays, shops tend to close, and open more towards the weekend. But it's not a fixed rule, just a trend. Each shop seems to have its own opening times. Lots of small paths to explore, many convoluted ways.
  • Lonely Planet says this place is good for a late evening stroll. But I think it's probably better to go when the galleries and studios are open, otherwise what's the point? The area seems interesting enough but none of the buildings are particularly eye-catching or special.
  • As mentioned by others, a lot of the galleries/studios aren't open. (Actually, they don't seem occupied.) But I liked the handful of murals and installations, and those little red boxes that tell the story of each family residing there. When I was there, there was a small contemporary exhibition on the history of Treasure Hill. Actually this place reminds me of Gamcheon in Busan but I like that it's not as polished and real people still live here. Saw a couple of aunties indulging in some midday karaoke at the community 'theatre'.
  • Worth checking when this is open, not so much to see
