  • I am a fan of Sunnyhills pineapple cake for some time. Knowing they get really busy in the afternoon, I took a cab there with my family to their store at 10 AM. We were able to find a table to sit dow...  more »
  • It has been drizzling whole day long and it was nice to be warm up to a cup of Chinese tea, follow by their usual pineapple tart/cake. Ample pineapple filling, wish they would give us other choices to...  more »
  • Excellent and efficient service! Tasty food too. Feels slightly weird trying for free when I don't want to buy a large takeaway portion. But a good marketing strategy I'm sure.  more »

  • So this place is much more fancy and modern. They check you in and you are seated at a table. They immediately offer you tea and a pineapple cake(free sample). The cake is okay. The outside is more dense and the filling is a little less sweet(which is good for me)and you get pineapple fiber in the inside. So all real stuff. They only have pineapple flavor cake. I just went to Chia Te so it's a really good time to compare. Chia Te is not as modern but still very clean and orderly fashion. More authentic Taiwanese style bakery. A lot of different version to choose from.
  • Their pineapple cakes are very good. The pastry uses just the right amount of butter and the pineapple filling goes very well with it. The shop is nice and welcomes you with a pineapple cake for you to taste. When it gets busy the staff can be very pushy and treat you like you are not human, rushing you to your seats..
  • Must visit this place if you know how the regular Fung li su taste like. This place have real "Fung li su"
  • Best pineapple cakes in Taipei, maybe even Taiwan. Both the pastry and the filling are delicious. Free samples are a nice touch. They have outlets in Singapore, Shanghai and Tokyo so, if you find them as good as I did, you can always stock up on them in these other Asian cities. Highly recommended.
  • I am from India and I have tasted variety of sweets from India, so I dont find sweets from other countries delicious. Having said that sunnyhills pineapple cake are incomparably delicious, tint of ghee taste like, soft and rightly sweetened. Awesome !
