  • Good museum that explains the events that led to the infamous Feb 28 massacre and the subsequent military rule of Taiwan that saw widespread human rights violations. The narrative is matter-of-factly and ends with a message of justice and reconciliation. Most exhibits only have descriptions in Chinese. There are English audio guides at the reception for those who need them. The people working at the museum only speak Chinese. Admission is free.
  • Free entry, demonstrates the February 28 massacre history that lots of Taiwan people don't really know. 228 Incident was an anti-government uprising towards KMT-led Republic of China government, also marked the beginning of White Terror period, that local intellectual were given groundless accusations and deterred Taiwanese from criticizing government. This has a long-term impact on Taiwan politics. 免費參觀,課本上沒有教的二二八是活在這塊土地上的人都應該要了解的過去,希望轉型正義早日推動!
  • Going here is the good start to understand this historic event that shapes the modern Taiwan. Let's hope all of us can learn from history, start from here, and contribute to a better Taiwan.
  • Great. And until December 6, it holds the exhibition about the democracy movement of Korea too.
  • well arranged and free of charge
