Miramar Entertainment Park, a modern shopping area, offers a variety of stores in addition to an amusement park ride. Ride the 70 m (230 ft) Ferris wheel on the roof of the complex, which offers an unmatched scenic view of the cityscape. The shopping center offers a variety of stores, so you can find gifts for yourself and others. Take a break from shopping at the IMAX theater, and see a film on the huge 28 m (92 ft) by 21 m (69 ft) screen. There's no need to pack a snack, since the mall offers various food courts. My 5 stars are solely based on the fact that the IMAX cinema is awesome. The other IMAX screens in Taipei cannot compare. As a department store I think it's okay. Not as many shops, and selection of restaurants could be better. Good access to transportation though.
Shops here are for regular people, you can afford to buy something here (unlike the zillions of luxury malls in the city). They have Muji, Roots, Armani Exchange, Mango, etc. I love going on the ferris wheel for a nice view of the city and relaxing 15 minutes. It is a bit expensive, I think $300 NT per person if I remember correctly. We went to the Imax theater here to see Star Wars. It was pretty standard compared to a US theater, except they offer a lot more food options and staff will even take your order inside the theater before the film begins. The basement food court here has Ten Ren tea, bakeries, and cafe eateries. Across the street are some large super markets like Carrefour and A-Mart. Convenient!
Service staff helpful. It's 2 buildings so make note of which side you are headed. I couldn't find an asics store. The keen and Nike areas were great though. Food available in basement as to be expected with most Taipei shopping centres.
Although the food court offers mediocre quality, you can try many things (esp. on rainy days) from shopping, watching a movie, playing little arcade at game center, taking a ferris wheel, etc.
