Huahsi Night Market, Taipei

(2.9/5 based on 190+ reviews on the web)
Watch the city come to life at night as you experience Huahsi Night Market. Open for 50 years, the distinct market stands out because of the architectural style, with a traditional Chinese gate and red lanterns that line the roofed street. Known for Chinese herbs and medicine, food in the market is a guilty pleasure for gastronomes; find all kinds of strange delicacies like turtle testicles and snake penis, which earned the street its infamous name "snake alley." Plenty of restaurants offer fresh seafood (besides exotic snacks), so you fully experience Taiwan city nightlife. • This Yelu geological site and not the night market! My apology as unable to edit the title. A must see tourist location. Unusual rock formation on the northern coast of Taiwan. Could have been better.
  • mostly for tourist. i wouldn't recommend people to come here unless you are looking for exotic things like eating snake liquor, snake delicacies turtle delicacies or even massage palours. The place is also pretty dead with many stores closed even at 8-9pm we ended up walking through the place and leaving for another night market via taxi
  • A popular and really nice night market. A wide selection of super delicious treats.
  • I've been here like 20 times and it never gets old. It is one of my favorite night markets in taiwan
  • It's a decent night market. It's not very big, but there is variety foods and shops.
