Watch the city come to life at night as you experience Huahsi Night Market. Open for 50 years, the distinct market stands out because of the architectural style, with a traditional Chinese gate and red lanterns that line the roofed street. Known for Chinese herbs and medicine, food in the market is a guilty pleasure for gastronomes; find all kinds of strange delicacies like turtle testicles and snake penis, which earned the street its infamous name "snake alley." Plenty of restaurants offer fresh seafood (besides exotic snacks), so you fully experience Taiwan city nightlife. • Generally I'm in Taipei Grand Formosa Regent Street impressions may not be very good, but to promote Dragon Mountain Temple del Carmen to the South China area in the West Street this 塊 night market has a variety of model courses cuisine, cheap commodities, local snacks. Little catch people every single food Pricing 驚 訝 cheap zhebianpw take a trip in the future as long as the little gold money was 飽 enough to eat. There are still Traditions show can look, but be careful the next Street soliciting illicit prostitution within Laos.

  • If it's raining! This happens often in Taipei, you can go on this night market because it is covered .He is not large but friendly. Plenty of place for a massage feet, get a manicure or pedicure, not expensive .it is also known for its restaurant a few snakes that the one sees in the cages.

  • It’s the oldest night market in Taiwan. With a historical tinge to the surroundings, Huaxi St. offers the best of Taiwan. It is an ideal place to savour authentic Taiwanese dishes. But what makes Huaxi St. market so unique are the stores selling snakes and the various merchandise attached to it. Based on the beliefs of ancient Chinese, Snakes are a healthy source of food and are considered very nourishing to the human body. It was astonishing to see snakes being served in soups, wine and also as a medicine at some stores. I also got to witness live snakes from time to time down the street stores. Some of the snake stores even perform snake shows to attract tourists.
  • I definitely would not recommend this night market. We checked it out because it was relatively close to us, but it had unappealing food, an unhygienic environment and crazy people on scooters driving around like maniacs. I would skip this one if you want something half decent to eat.
  • Loved the food and this is probably the most peculiar night market it Taipei... in a fun way :)
  • There are plenty of better night markets in Taipei. If want to try snake meat this place is for you.
  • This place is old and decrepit. If you want to have some snake meat then this is the place. There is a high end seafood noodle restaurant here called 台南擔仔麵, it has fine french decor with local cuisine. This place isn't family or kids friendly with plenty of shop owners and tourists openly smoking on the street. There's a whole bunch of unsavory massage parlor in the area. Avoid until the government push for more gentrification.
