Fine Arts Museum, Taipei
Categories: Art Museums, Museums
Learn about modern art at Fine Arts Museum, the first museum in the country to promote only modern art shows. The artwork starts with the architecture of the building itself, which is shaped like a pound sign (or hashtag) where you can spend a time admiring both local and international art exhibitions. Take a night stroll next to the museum to see the light show projected onto the building, forming yet another artistic installment. Families will appreciate the cafe with a playroom for children under the age of 5. You can purchase books in the basement museum bookstore, situated alongside the resting area. It never gets boring. The building is already an art piece in itself with this beautiful cafe garden area. If the exhibitions at that time dont find your liking then just pop over to the Story House right opposite of the entrance or enjoy a stroll in the big park and check out the different venues there, a lot to see and discover.
Always worth a visit. A diverse collection spread over multiple floors. The building itself is a fantastic space. Ticket prices are amazing value
Interesting rotating exhibits located in a modern building. Surrounding expo park is also quite nice
4 major exhibitions when i visited today. Nice building. Cycled here from downtown. There's a ubike station very close
Another great place in Taipei. There were a few temporary collections from local artists on display but we didn't find a main one. Nonetheless, worth visiting.
