  • Great assortment of books, stationery or assortment there. Give so many 'madeinJapan' look and feel, but postcards, where most assortment, good sense. Go buy a new year card goal line found in year starts preparing for the lunar new year, Chinese Red, to loved ones may use the cards. About wrapping paper and can be bought from one piece. Are seen together on floor of other stylish clothes, gadgets, food, so don't have time, but a nice little gift looking for helpful. 101 also looms in front of dawn, so what if every just pics are.

  • The bookstore is still the top draw here but the shops selling household items and body care products are quite neat and are worth a look. There are also fancy coffee shops and restaurants. The bookstore is primarily Chinese but they do have a decent collection of English books.
  • Book selection has been sufficient. Curious, cute and interesting knickknacks abound upstairs and make for nice presents. The stationary section is filled with the best gift wrapping materials I've seen in Taipei. However, everything feels overpriced. Use your best judgement.
  • Best bookstore in the world! Lots of other high-price (but nice) goods as well. If you like books at all then this is a must see.
  • Biggest bookstore in Taiwan. Here you can find all kinds of book you want to read, as well as some creative design product. You can just find a corner sit and read, spend whole afternoon in this wonderful place.
  • It's an upscale store that sells a bunch of different things. There is an entire floor for a bookstore, and an entire floor for stationary stuff. A lot of the things seemed expensive to me.

Where to stay in Taipei

Taipei offers an impressive selection of accommodation options for every type of budget. For the least expensive rooms, consider areas near the main train station. You can usually find deep discounts online, so it pays to plan at least a month in advance. If you prefer to play it safe and don't mind paying a top price, go for one of the city's four- or five-star hotels, most of which offer quick access to popular tourist areas and some of the best shopping and dining spots.
