  • During our food research for Taipe, we often read that Shia Te makes Taipei’s best pineapple cakes. To be honest, we don’t know whether they are the top, but they are certainly scrumptious and the bes...  more »
  • Actually, just grab the yellow order form and go for lunch at Chun Shui Tang (for lunch) down 2 streets and come back to pickup the pineapple tarts. Is it over-rated? A little bit. But it being 1-stor...  more »
  • Rumor: lined up a little bit. As well as pineapple cakes, are lined with all kinds of sweets. Was divided into columns of cash and card payments. Tried for the first time. Pineapple cake shop I, is fun compared having lots to eat. To be useful in the new MRT station is a little away from the area of Zhongshan.

  • This place is SO good! So authentic and didn't lose it Taiwanese style to the cake. You go in and you have so much to choose from. The original pineapple cake and quit a few other flavors. Egg yoke, strawberry, walnut, cherry, and some other ones. They also have other bake goods, wife cake and others that I don't know the name of. But flavor wise, it's really good. I'm sure they use a ton of butter but who cares. I bought the small box then head over to Sunnyhills and it totally different. Then I had to go back to buy a bigger box and some more wife cake. And my order is pretty small. I saw people buying CASES of them. So if you are looking for authentic pineapple cake, go to Chia Te. But if you are looking for a nice ambience up scale cake try Sunnyhills. Chia Te is about 30nt each and Sunnyhills is 45nt And the line is not hard to figure out. There is a big sign for cash and the other side is for credit card(for jumbo orders).
  • Definitely 5 stars for their pineapple tarts which what they are famous for. However they need to improve their check out system! It's very frustrating when you try to pay for the products. ⚠ Warning: A lots of tourists go there.
  • Very Very Very Crowded , Wating About 20 min to get in to the shop , and sadly the egg pastry is out of stock , but the pastry here is preety good
  • With "sunnyhill" or "sunmerry", It is one of famous "Pung-Li-Su" selling place. (Taste can be estimated to be vary by it's price)
  • This place is always so busy! In my opinion, the pineapple cakes are solid, but not the best. They are quite sweet (which I don't particularly enjoy). I would recommend Sunnyhills pineapple cakes, instead. Also, Sunnyhills isn't quite as busy as ChaiTe
