Historic Site
Get a look inside Taiwanese history by visiting Bopiliao Ancient Street, which was once an important trading center. The street reflects different periods of the city's history--Qing dynasty period, Japanese colonial period, and the post World War II period, and has kept the same look for about 200 years. As you walk the street, watch for wall paintings and art crafts, visit some of the historical buildings, and visit the stores as well. The avenue offers a barbershop, clock store, public bathhouse, and a store with Chinese medicine.
