Is a very broad market, half food and half clothes and miscellaneous items. There are also stalls to play. There is a huge variety of things to eat and there are also coffee tables to eat even if space is limited. A bit far from downtown but you can go there on foot.

This night market beside the road opens three nights in weekday every week. The block is large for plenty of stalls and vendors. A good place for students and young people! Many traditional Taiwanese snacks can be found as well as some exotic foods. It would not be problem to be full after trying different savory fried stuff, soft drinks, noodle and ice cream.

I took taxi ($NT115 and 15 mins ride) from Chikan area to the market. It was my first time trying deep fried stinky tofu, deep fried Century egg (mixed thai and Japanese sauce) and Oyster Pancakes. They were great. My friend also got me a nice lemonade with jelly drink. I like this market but I think i was lucky that it was not so crowded because of rain and Dragon boat festival.

Very big night market with a lot of very good quality street food stands even compared to other around taiwan. One of its problem though is that there are almost no trashcan except for those at the entry / exit of the night market itself.

A great night market experience. Although it may not be as big as the Garden night market, it is surely not as crowed as the Garden night market. Nice food and everything you expected to see in a night market.

Super fun night market, one of our favorites from all of Taiwan. The food all looked really appetizing, and some of the stands (like the boar sausage vendor in the corner of the market and the popular green onion pancake vendor) are among the best night market food we found.

Where to stay in Tainan

The long established city of Tainan offers plentiful accommodations for the range of visitors it receives each year. Primarily located to the west of the main train station, hotels range from the luxurious to the basic, and everywhere in between. Overlooking green areas or the canals, the most glamorous among the options here come in old and new buildings, while the more budget-friendly--including youth hostels, guesthouses, and simple hotels--occupy side streets close to the main transport hubs and historic buildings.
