Anping Fort (Anping gubao), Tainan

3.9
Brush up on your local history with an excursion to Anping Fort (Anping gubao), a 17th-century fort constructed by the Dutch East India Company. Developed over a 10-year period between 1624 and 1634, the fort became a central hub for trade in East Asia throughout Dutch and Japanese occupations of Tainan. Follow well-kept paths to some of the few surviving remnants of the original fort, including the red brick city walls and oyster kiln. Much of the site is newly built, housing a collection of museums for you to wander through, learning the fort’s extensive history. Climb the steps of the observation tower for some of the town’s best views, and make the most of the predominantly English displays. Yes, really... too lame and uninteresting as the other fort... (Who should be called strong boredom Lord) No historical explanation, no signs, 3 old bricks that are fighting together and a mini tour which did not even offer a nice panorama... If we were to establish a ranking of the forts and fortresses the lame, it would be ranked-15.000 just before the other because here - there is still a small seller of ice granita nice before the site...! How there's nothing to see?

It is a military fortress at Netherlands ruled Taiwan as capital of Tainan. And climb the observation deck overlooking the 360 degrees South. You can learn history of the fortress and Anping thermal insulation Orchid Castle Museum. Description panel in Japan Japanese is okay. Also, and lined up a lot of stalls a stall like the street of Anping Fort entrance gate in vibrant and did exactly what aspects, such as tourist destinations.
