Discover Taiwanese modern and contemporary art at National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts. Surrounded by a sculpture park, the four-story building features 16 galleries, a library, a gift shop, and a tea house. Start at the sculpture park, which boasts over 40 sculptures and 50 calligraphy stone tablets. Move on through a transparent passageway, which creates a subtle transition from the exterior to the interior of the museum. The kids will love the family room, which features plenty of hands-on exhibits to experiment with. • I really enjoyed the fine are museum. It is large enough to spend a couple hours or so if you like art. If art is not your thing you could probably do like 45 minutes and see it all. It was free too! ...  more »

  • I think there are many great facilities. Cover the weekend, and dotted with sculptures on the lawn a beautiful outdoor art exhibits you can see free of charge anyone and because many families are relaxed and children horsed around. I want to go every week if you close to such facilities.

  • Friendly staff and some very interesting exhibits. There is no entry fee so browse till your heart's content. Right next to Caligraphy Greenway so you can stroll along the park and feel the serenity after viewing art works. Highly Recommended.
  • Beautiful setting. Lots of green, clean areas for kid to play in outside. Very good kid recreation area, requires booking. Lots of young artists work displayed...
  • Very popular destination for tourists. On Saturdays, the gallery is packed with visitors and a long line entering the exhibition. Paintings were relatively interesting. -On the second floor, fine tea cafés are always full. -On the third floor, a large library offers great reading choices. Great for people who are exuberant about art.
  • For me no.1 in Taichung, entrance was free, a lot of nice artworks. And for first time I tried virtual reality HTC Vive there.
  • Lovely Museum, free entry that allows you to enjoy the visit without paying anything, if you want to enjoy more "important" artist you also have the possibility to pay and take a look into more famous exhibitions.
