Discover Taiwanese modern and contemporary art at National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts. Surrounded by a sculpture park, the four-story building features 16 galleries, a library, a gift shop, and a tea house. Start at the sculpture park, which boasts over 40 sculptures and 50 calligraphy stone tablets. Move on through a transparent passageway, which creates a subtle transition from the exterior to the interior of the museum. The kids will love the family room, which features plenty of hands-on exhibits to experiment with. The permanent collection focuses on Taiwanese art starting from the 18th century, while temporary exhibitions display artworks from other East Asian countries. • It's a large complex with a lot going on. The gift shop is big and organized, there's a tea house in the loft, a library, and the building grounds are nice to peruse. The museum has quite a few galleries. Some can be hit and miss, but everything is well displayed, and exhibits rotate frequently. I go every two or three months and it's like a whole new place every time. Features Taiwanese artists, as well as artists from around the globe. One of the best curated museums I've seen.
  • They have different themes and things to see every other semester, I guess. I've been here twice and I didn't regret it. I learned more about Taiwan itself, its culture, and more specifically about its contemporary art. Spend 1 hour at least here. I recommend it. They have free toilets, some chairs where you can sit, and one designated area to charge your mobile phone if needed.
  • Several exibition held in this place the whole year. It is a great place for people who love art. Also there is a library especially designed for children. Parents can take their children there to read a story for them.
  • Interesting exhibitions that changes every few months. Conducive place for families. No entrance fee.
  • Excellent museum. Amazed by the quality of the artwork - so original, interesting, amusing, thought provoking etc. And the Sculpture Park beside it is excellent. The museum is even better than the Fine Arts museum in Taipei.
